HORSE CAMP

Experience what it’s like to own and take care of a horse!

Daily activities include:
Feeding
Manure management
Ground handling
Grooming
Saddling
RIDING
cool down
Turnout

After horse care and riding, other areas of will be covered and will vary session to session and may include:

First aid
Bathing
Tack care
Anatomy
Lunging
Horse training
Hood care
Bandaging
Tying

Mid day we will eat, rest, then take a swim at the river or local pool. (Red Cross certified lifeguard on duty.)

 

This is a small group program ( only 6 to 8 campers per session) that is designed
to teach subjects that are hard to cover in weekly riding lessons. All levels from beginner
to advanced will benefit from practice and instruction in new skills.

What to bring:
Long pants
Boots
Sun Screen and hat
Plenty of water
Healthful snack or sack lunch
